| So I pucked up on a test today and my study hours have gone up. This sucks. At least it's almost the weekend. Woo hoo, Halloween!
Today is my sister's birthday. Happy Birthday, Catie!

| I bought a new laptop the other day. It's so much better than my old one, except that the webcam on it is pretty crappy. I'm debating whether or not to take the laptop back and get a more upgraded one. I do like everything else with the laptop, though...
My sister's birthday is in a couple of days and I've been trying to figure out what to get her. I made her write a list of things she wants and today we're going to go through them and decide on something.
My friend, Peck, and I want to go trick-or-treating on Halloween, and I think we're going to put a bunch of boxes together to make robot costumes so that people can't tell we're adults. I can't imagine Halloween without trick-or-treatingness. Too bad I can't go up to Virginia to trick-or-treat with my brothers. It's always so fun with them.
Oh yeah, I phased up, which means I can wear civilian clothes on the weekends. So last weekend was pretty exciting. Oh, I tried a pomegranate for the first time and it was so amazing. I plan to go to the commissary today and find a pomegranate.
So yeah, that's a quick update. School still is stressful, but now I only have one class to worry about because I finished my Math class. I have 3.5 GPA, which isn't too bad. Yaaay. Time to go back to school!

| My school officially started last Monday and it has sucked majorly. It's more difficult than any other schooling I've ever had in that it's incredibly time consuming. I've been staying an average of five hours after school to get my work done (I was there from 7 am to 10 pm one night). We can't take work out of the classroom, so the classroom becomes like a second home and steals our souls. While I was getting processed into the school, back when I could just clean for a few hours and then go off and do whatever, people would tell me, "Enjoy indoc! It's the best part of A School." I kind of brushed their advice aside, but now that school has started, I understand why they said it. This schooling SUCKS. I don't know why I keep spending over an hour just trying to analyze a math problem. It's like time speeds up in the school and it gets to be midnight and I'm like, "Shit, gotta get up in 5 hours to do this all over again." The second day of class, I had to stay after for an hour and a half as punishment for putting an extra zero in a problem and not catching it. The extra time didn't count towards my weekly study time, so it was just wasted time (depending on our grades, we have mandatory study hours. because school has just started, I'm on 15-2, which means I have to put in 15 hours of studying and a minimum of 2 hours per day.) I hope it gets better.
But on an extremely positive note, I have a three day weekend. My roommate didn't come home last night, so it's been really amazing to have the room to myself. I really missed having some privacy. I still have lots of school work to do, but I'm not going to do it until tomorrow and the next day. That means I've got the whole day to just do whatever. It's going to be amazing.
I bought some tea from Teavana and I've been drinking it like crazy. It cheers me up lots. I ordered more online and am waiting for it to get here. I never thought tea could be so amazing.
Man, it's so nice to be able to just hang out.

| I'm in Charleston, South Carolina at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. I'm still going through processing and I'm waiting for class to start (two weeks). I'm basically getting briefed on stuff about the base and then I go on liberty for the rest of the day. I walked to McDonald's and the NEX with my friends yesterday and it was really fun. Everything's spread apart, so it's around a five mile walk to get anywhere.
The barracks are actually pretty nice. They make me think of a hotel, but I guess compared to the boot camp sleeping arrangements anything could seem like a hotel. I have one roommate and I share a bathroom with two other people. It's much better than 40 other females showering in one area.
Schooling's supposed to be really tough and I'll be spending many, many hours studying. I hope I can do it...

| I graduated boot camp today, yay! Now I'm going through liberty weekend. I'm at a hotel right now with my parents, brothers, and sister. I'm so happy to see them.
